    1. Evan F. (verified owner)

I’ve owned a small (572sq foot) log cabin for about 2 years now. The eves of the house are somewhat difficult to seal off, there are several known openings, around the chimney, in the space between the trim and the logs, there’s probably 10 spots that I know of, and I’m finding more every time I look. The previous owner (builder of cabin) had used low expansion foam to seal these gaps, but in the past 10 years this foam has disintegrated and left these openings. The bats were horrible. Guano on the inside and outside, it was a mess. I purchased this on June 10th, it was installed on the 15th. It’s now the 25th. The first 3 days I had the device placed aimed straight at the wall, inside the attic. I noticed this wasn’t doing much, I then angled the device at a 45 degree, towards the corner, and this drove the bats crazy that evening. I noticed if you have a bat problem like mine, you can aim the device, and press test for a second or 2, if the bats are active like mine, they will instantly chirp/squeak/move around. After I saw this effect, I then sealed off 4 or 5 places that were open that the bats were not using. Last week (22nd) I had noticed a huge reduction in the number of bats in the evening. I then used bird netting and draped it over the eve of the house on that corner, and moved the device to the opposite corner and plan on doing this routine on the other 2 corners. After I stop hearing bats, and seeing them enter/exit the holes, I will seal them up completely and perform some much needed log cabin maintenance. I did not reach out to the company for the placement of my device, I have just done enough research to know every bat issue is different, and was just going to try different placements until I saw a change in the bat activity. 5 stars all around. *update* 6/1/19 I checked on the progress this evening, I have zero bat activity on the south side eve of the cabin. No fresh guano, no entrance/exit signs at dusk, and no more bar sounds. This week I’m sealing up all the remaining spots, and moving the device to the north side eve of the cabin.
